The Raleigh Police Department's Animal Control Unit is hosting rabies and microchip clinics at a City park near you! Two clinics will be held in May and two will be held in September.
"Mark your calendar to take advantage of these affordable pet care services. Get a one-year rabies vaccination for your dog or cat for just $5 (cash only) and take advantage of free microchipping and distemper vaccinations." - The Raleigh Police Department's Animal Control Unit
"Rabies is a deadly virus that can spread to humans through the saliva of infected animals. Rabies is preventable with proper vaccinations. North Carolina General Statute 130A-185 mandates that pet dogs, cats, or ferrets older than four months must be vaccinated against rabies." - The Raleigh Police Department's Animal Control Unit
"A microchip provides a permanent identification of your pet and greatly increases the chance that your pet will be returned if your furry friend becomes lost. The microchip, about the size of a grain of rice, is inserted just under the skin of your pet. - Rabies vaccination: $5
- Microchip (donated by Cary Police Dept. Animal Control Unit): Free
- Distemper Vaccinations (donated by PetCo Love): Free
