Nursing Mothers of Raleigh, a volunteer organization, is set to provide crucial support and information to breastfeeding/lactating families. According to the organization, volunteer counselors will be actively involved in this initiative. "Volunteer counselors with Nursing Mothers of Raleigh will provide information and support to breastfeeding/lactating families," stated a representative from the organization.

In addition to general support, Nursing Mothers of Raleigh will be offering classes covering a range of topics tailored to the needs of new parents. These classes will address various aspects of breastfeeding, from preparation and starting solids to weaning and understanding a baby's cues. "They will also offer classes about specific topics and answers to individual questions: Breastfeeding Q & A, preparation and getting started, starting solids, weaning, supporting your partner, understanding your baby's cues, etc.," the organization shared.

Moreover, Nursing Mothers of Raleigh emphasized that ongoing lactation support will be made available to families between meetings. This continuous support aims to ensure that families receive the necessary assistance and guidance throughout their breastfeeding journey. "Ongoing lactation support is available between meetings," confirmed a spokesperson from Nursing Mothers of Raleigh.

The organization has scheduled the support sessions on the 1st Thursday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. and on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The sessions are open to individuals aged 18 and above and come at no cost. Interested participants are encouraged to register on RecLink to secure their spots.

Nursing Mothers of Raleigh's efforts reflect their commitment to providing valuable resources and a supportive community for breastfeeding/lactating families in the Raleigh area.
